Although the body can manufacture many vital chemicals a lot of the materials we need must be acquired by eating.
The energy needed to fuel the body is gained entirely through the food we consume.
Once nutrients are assembled into the blood stream they are then transported to different parts of the body where they are put to many tasks.
There are six essential types of nutrients that the body needs to get from the diet in order to function properly: Fats, carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, minerals and water.
Vitamins, minerals and water are small enough to be absorbed through the lining of the gut. But fats proteins and carbohydrates need to be broken down chemically into smaller particles before being absorbed.
Those particles are sugars, amino acids and fatty acids.
When you eat carbohydrates such as bread, pasta, rice, potatoes i.e starchy foods and proteins, you overwhelm the stomach because different chemicals are needed to break down their items. And so one should as far as possible try to consume starchy foods with salad etc only and proteins with salad etc only to get the best results.
Having a healthy spine and regular adjustments also help to maintain the smooth function for the digestive tract.
